The Ultimate White River Resource

Hello and welcome to Taneycomotrout.com.  My name is Jeremy Hunt and I have been a guide on Missouri’s Lake Taneycomo for ten years.  I also guide for trophy browns (primarily with streamers) in Arkansas on the White River and Norfork Tailwater.  The trout fisheries of the Ozarks are world-renowned for their trophies and records because an extremely rich aquatic habitat allows for prolific trout growth.  Many folks say: “hour for hour, you will not find more productive public water in the lower 48…period.”  Of course I agree.

I spent the last year guiding and living in Cotter, Arkansas, but now I’m back in Branson on my “home waters”.  “Why would you leave the White?” is a question I’m asked a lot, and to be honest, the reason I am back is two-fold.  First off, I truly believe that the fishing on Lake Taneycomo is more productive than the White, especially for trophy rainbows.  Secondly, I just miss Branson and this whole area from a fishing perspective.  Sure, I love Arkansas as well, and I will still be guiding down there as much as possible, but for me, Lake Taneycomo is where it’s at.
