Trips Tailored to Your Abilities
Each trip is customized to cater to the respective angler's ability level and desires. Novice anglers can request their trip be tailored as an on-water lesson. These trips will focus on teaching casting mechanics, safe wading techniques, basic fly selection, and how to read the water. This type of trip is the perfect way to minimize the learning curve for beginners. And, of course, you will have ample opportunities to catch trout.
How do you guide?
Learning is the key to ultimately finding fly fishing Nirvana. Once you get a decent grasp on the basic concepts of fly fishing, you can fish all over the world with some degree of confidence. Casting is something that must be grasped before any fishing can be done. I love to cast and it’s the most important thing you can learn in fly fishing. I guess you could say my trips are like an on stream skills workshop. We will learn the river, the insects, and why trout relate to different structures in different types of water.
Two person, (includes lunch, flies, equipment [as needed], and boat): We we also work on your casting. I think that's the most important thing to benefit from a guide trip, catching fish is the easy part.
Full Days: $300 - one or two people - Lake Taneycomo $350 - one or two people - White & Norfork Rivers
Half Days: $200 - one or two people - Taneycomo $275 - one or two people - White & Norfork Rivers
