This concept is perfect for those who want to learn as much as they possibly can about the White River and its fly fishing. These one-day workshops will accommodate seven to ten participants. I will be covering all aspects of fly fishing on the White River; from entomology to casting techniques. Some time will be spent actually fishing, but this experience is far more comprehensive than a standard guide trip.
The On-Stream Skills Workshop will be held at Lake Taneycomo. Because we are currently in a dry period, I will be planning the first of these hands-on seminars for the first or second weekend in March 12th 2011. Please let me know if you are interested. If the water is high, arrangements will be made to find safe places to access the river, but fishing opportunities will be extremely limited if there are more than two units running – this experience is about far more than just catching trout, though. Skills workshops will be held on weekends to increase the odds of low water. No matter what the flows look like, this program is an affordable and fun crash-course that will leave participants with a much deeper understanding of the White River Basin trout fisheries.
